Na krátko je drama o chlapci Jakubovi, který zjistí, že celý jeho dosavadní život byla lež. A jemuž nezbude, než okamžitě dospět a se ztrátou iluzí se vyrovnat, a nebo… skončit špatně. Pomoct mu nemůže nikdo. Ani matka, protože to ona mu lhala a tu pohádku o tatínkovi, který se mu nemůže věnovat, protože brázdí moře na zaoceánské lodi, si vymyslela. Ani otec, který na něj ve skutečnosti celý život kašlal a teď se chce starat, ale jen proto, že o něj jeho „opravdový“ syn z manželství nestojí. A ať je jaký chce, kapitán tedy rozhodně není. Ani sestra Pavlína, která je ve svých šestnácti též také prahu zjištění, že život je úplně jiný, než si ho představovala, a které to srdce zlomí úplně stejně.
