As a formal reclamation of the power of myth, this most unusual documentary argues that mythology itself constitutes one of the deepest and most profound sources of human wisdom. The program actually intercuts discussions with sages including Deepak Chopra, Sobonfu Some, Michael Meade, and Michael Beckwith with stop-motion animated sequences that tell a unique parable on the limitations of human perception and the importance of morality. The animated sequences are woven into a fantasy tale about a sorcerer and a corpse, and feature the puppetry of Dark Crystal contributors Wendy Froud and Brian Froud, as well as the voices of Tim Curry, Mark Hamill, and others.
