Synopsis

Bob Jones and his wife Gail are eagerly expecting their first child. Then, Bob is told he has kidney cancer that has spread to his lungs; the longest Bob is expected to live is four months, which will deny him the joy of witnessing the birth of his child. Raging within, he visits a Chinese healer who encourages him to let go of all the anger and fear he has kept trapped inside. Bob decides to videotape himself talking to his unborn child, showing him the places and people most important to his father, and remembering the lessons that life has taught him. In the process of the videotape sessions, Bob discovers that his anger resides in his past with his family, and revisits secrets that he has kept hidden from himself and his wife through the years. The videotape, begun as a legacy to his child, takes Bob on a voyage of self-discovery and reconciliation.
