Synopsis
A small time crook from St. Louis attempts to sidestep a dangerous confrontation, only to find himself on a sinking ship in this digitally shot, neo-noir crime thriller. Ash may feed off the misery of the less fortunate, but he's juts another pawn in a city taken by sin. He thinks he's destined for greater things, and when he encounters trophy wife Melanie, things begin to look up. But Melanie has her fair share of vices, and that means she's currently under the thumb of local heavy Woodrell. Woodrell also owns Annie, a weary prostitute who's desperately looking for a way off of the street. Meanwhile, crooked lawman Hampton has his wife Melanie right where he wants her, or so he thought. The only hope that Ash has for escaping Hampton's wrath is to escape to Woodrell's paradise, but this is no vacation, and when the waters start rushing in, everyone begins paddling to save their own lives, and reaching for someone to drag down with them.
