Monkeybone

From Henry Selick, director of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach, comes this equally dark film, starring Brendan Fraser as Stu Miley, an animator who's about to hit the big time on TV with Monkeybone, his cheeky ape creation. But on his way to celebrate with his girlfriend Dr Julie McElroy, his car crashes and he descends into a coma, trapped in the nightmare world of the comatose, which is populated by his creations, including Monkeybone. If he can acquire an exit pass from Death, he can escape, but Monkeybone steals the pass, takes over his body and prepares to "party" with the unsuspecting Julie. Can Stu find his way back to reality and his own body in time in this intriguing mix of live action and animation fantasy?, Brendan Fraser stars in this imaginative fantasy-comedy about a cartoonist who is seriously injured in an accident and slips into a coma.
