Modern Times
Synopsis
In Charlie Chaplin's final masterpiece of silent comedy, a factory worker struggles with the mechanised inhumanity of production lines until a nervous breakdown sees him hauled away to mental hospital. On his release, he creates more chaos when he saves a pretty orphan from arrest, ending up in jail himself before the pair finally find a measure of freedom on the road.
