Synopsis
"This looks like a job for the Masked Avenger!" Declared Bugs Bunny in one of his cartoons. "But since he ain't around, I'll have to handle things myself." The Hong Kong-produced Masked Avengers might have benefited from the cheerful insouciance of Bugs Bunny. Instead, we have a passel of poker-faced martial arts experts, dispensing punches, jabs and kicks to any and all antagonists. Within its own limited terms, however, the film delivers the goods. Masked Avengers was originally released in "Shawscope", a Hong Kong variation of CinemaScope (same ratio: 2.35 to 1).
