Synopsis
Orphaned at a very young age, Deepak (Sanjeev Kumar) and his sister Laxmi live a modest life. Deepak is introduced to Krishna (Waheeda Rehman) and soon they get married and live with Krishna's brother, Ramu (Rakesh Roshan). Deepak drives a taxi for a living. Ramu falls into bad company and steals Krishna's necklace to throw a party for his friends. A kind-hearted wealthy jeweler, Shyam Lal (David), returns the necklace to Deepak.
