Synopsis
A small-town California sheriff searches for the man he ran down on a foggy night but who later vanished from the hospital. Meanwhile, a Japanese mystery novelist seeking solitude in San Francisco investigates the sudden departure of a lover who disappeared without a trace. Sheriff Paul Del Moral (Pepe Serna) was making his way home on a dreary night when he accidentally struck a solitary Japanese man walking down the road. Later, as the investigation into the crash gets underway, the mysterious victim is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, just a few miles away in San Francisco, Japanese mystery author Aki Akahor (Ayako Fujitani) takes a break from the publicity tour for her latest novel, and falls into an affair with an enigmatic Japanese traveler she meets in her hotel. Then, as quickly as he appeared, he is gone. Could these two incidents somehow be connected?.
