Synopsis
The unique and ambitious documentary Make crisscrosses events from the lives of four gifted American artists, each of whom had to overcome a debilitating disability (and the prison of isolation) to achieve unimpeded self-expression. Subjects include Judith Scott, Ike Morgan, Hawkins Bolden and [$Prophet Royal Robertson. In addition to biographically profiling the said individuals, the program discusses their respective bodies of work and the way that each one exhibits a personalized voice. The filmmakers include extensive footage of the artists creating their works.
