Synopsis
This sharply-written romantic comedy-drama follows the interwoven lives of several singles as they search for true love on the streets of San Francisco. The story begins with Adam (Josh Charles), a cab driver/aspiring artist, who blames all his difficulties in love on the women he dates because he cannot cope with the fact that his beloved Kate (Joanna Going) dumped him to date Anne (JoBeth Williams), a middle-aged lesbian. Adam's latest lover/scapegoat gets tired of his obsession with Kate and so seeks comfort from Adam's best friend Kevin (Jon Bon Jovi). Matters become increasingly complex when Rebecca (Penelope Ann Miller) comes to town and gets a job in the tavern where Kevin works.
