How Long Is “Lenny”?

After Lenny Bruce's death from an overdose of drugs, the hectic and tormented life of the controversial comedian becomes the subject of an unseen interviewer. In a series of flashbacks, the people who knew Bruce tell the story of this strange man who began as a conventional stand-up comic and then threw convention to the winds, using his act as a sounding board for scathing, no-holds-barred satire on the mores and attitudes of Americans. Increasingly, Bruce used the most scatalogical and sexually explicit language in his routines, outraging and offending many and bringing himself under the strong arm of the law.
