Synopsis
This colorfully staged opera by Verdi has fine vocal performances while the acting is presented in a less-animated fashion. Opera buffs will enjoy the feature, especially the performance of Anna Moffo as Violetta Valery. Uneven stateside editing plagues the film and will undoubtedly not be favored by those familiar with the musical production.
