Ένας κλέφτης αυτοκινήτων, ο Ανδρέας, είναι τύπος κλειστός και χωρίς φίλους. Οι μόνες του επαφές είναι με μια πόρνη, η οποία περιστασιακά τον βοηθά στις κλοπές του, και με έναν παλιό συγκρατούμενό του, παραιτημένο απ’ τη ζωή. Μια μέρα συναντά την Ισμήνη, η οποία μπαίνει στη ζωή του εντελώς απρόσμενα και κάτω από παράξενες συνθήκες. Σύντομα αναπτύσσεται μεταξύ τους μια ερωτική σχέση, με κάπως άνισους όρους.
