Movie
John Wesley
Synopsis
This documentary tells the story of the 18th century religious figure John Wesley. Born and educated in England, Wesley was a scholar at Oxford when he received his call to serve God in the ministry. With the anointing upon him, the Anglican preacher spoke words of faith that reached many people. Though the learned people were moved by his teachings, it was the common people for whom Wesley had the greatest affinity. Most of his sermons were delivered outside in open fields and camps. Historic accounts, artwork, and re-enactments, with excerpts from his sermons, present a portrait of this great Protestant minister.
