Jim Allison: Breakthrough
Synopsis
James Allison is a man of science who, in 2018, received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his work in immunotherapy as a way to combat cancer. In the documentary Jim Allison: Breakthrough, director Bill Haney showcases Allison's research with the help of actor Woody Harrelson's narration. He also sheds light on the scientist's personal life through archival materials and intimate interviews with him and the ones closest to him, such as his wife, his ex-wife, and his colleagues.
