Petr je mladý horolezec, který právě prožívá trauma z úmrtí svého staršího bratra na výpravě do Himálají. Přijíždí do Vysokých Tater, aby se dozvěděl od Filipa, tehdejšího vůdce expedice, jak se tragická příhoda udála. Domnívá se totiž, že Filip mohl jeho bratra zachránit, ale že byl zbabělý, neprokázal dostatek odvahy a dal přednost svému vlastnímu bezpečí. Tragická situace mu brání posuzovat věci racionálně a přes nabízenou pomoc psychologa, terapeuta i bývalé bratrovy přítelkyně žene situaci na ostří nože. Vyprovokuje Filipa k výstupu na nebezpečnou horu právě ve chvíli, kdy se počasí začíná kazit….
