Synopsis
Prison officer David Murdoch escorts inmate Jules Hope to a Manchester hospital where he takes a phone call that will change his life for ever. His pregnant daughter Lucy has been kidnapped and if Murdoch wants to see her again he must break Jules out of hospital and take her to the man holding Lucy captive. If he talks to the police, Lucy will die. Unaware of the danger to Lucy, DS Susan Reinhardt - who has previous experience of this sort of case - tries to figure out why Murdoch is behaving totally out of character.
