Synopsis
Charlotte and Helen have always dreamed of saving a neglected building steeped in history, and they certainly found one. Sitting on a windswept hill in rolling farmland, Pitkennedy School in Angus was once the cornerstone of a community, until the school bell rang for the final time in 2006. As work begins, locals start to take notice of the school once again; while within the archives, voices of the first children and teachers start to be heard. A picture of rural 19th-century life emerges and further research places this tiny school at the beginning of a revolution in education and school building that would change Britain forever. The new owners still face their biggest challenge - can these novices create a beautiful home from a neglected old Victorian school?, Two best friends renovate a 150-year-old former school in Scotland.
