Synopsis
Urban drama about a young Hispanic woman and her coming-of-age. After her husband is arrested for looting during a blackout, Lisette (Lauren Vélez), a young Latino mother, breaks the stereotypical role of wife and mother by landing a job at a record company. Lisette struggles for independence while dealing with her aspiring transsexual brother (Jessie Borrego), her critical mother-in-law (Rita Moreno) and the neighbourhood beauty (Lisa Vidal), whose child just might have been fathered by Lisette's husband.
