Synopsis
Clare Lewis' documentary I Am Ali delves into the life of the celebrated champion boxer and galvanizing social figure who famously refused to enter the military when drafted for service during the Vietnam war, a decision that cost him his title. The filmmakers utilize a wealth of audio material recorded by Ali over the course of his life, and interview a number of fight game experts who help explain the importance of Ali to the sport.
