最強の名をほしいままにしていた忍者・虎影。6年前、彼は忍びの世界を抜け、元くノ一の妻・月影とひとり息子の孤月とともに平穏な日々を過ごしていた。一方、忍者集団“焔衆”の女頭領・幻斎は、2つそろえば隠し財宝のありかが示されるという金銀の巻物のうち、金の巻物を入手していた。次に耶厳藩藩主リクリの持つ銀の巻物を狙う幻斎は、孤月を人質に取り、虎影に巻物を盗み出すよう命じる。.
