Hitting a New High
Synopsis
In this musical, a nightclub singer secretly aspires to sing at the Met. To help her, her agent decides to dress her up as "Ooga-Hunga, the Bird Girl" and send her off on a merry chase of an influential opera lover who has gone on an African Safari. When the Great White Hunter sees her, he is truly agog and at last she fulfills her lifelong goal. Songs include: "You're Like a Song," "I Hit a New High," "Let's Give Love Another Chance," and "This Never Happened Before." Excerpts from operas include: "Lucia Di Lammermoor," "Mignon," "Je Suis Titania," and "Le Rossignol Et La Rose.".
