Film, batılı bir Türk kızının doğulu bir orta yaşlı adama gönlünü kaptırmasının hikayesini anlatıyor. Farklı coğrafyaların çocuklarının sınır tanımayan aşkı da diyebileceğimiz bu bağımsız yapım, İstanbul'da bir film setinde tanışan Ayça ile Hama Ali'nin garip aşklarını anlatıyor. Birbirlerine aşık olan çiftimiz, film bittikten sonra ayrılmak durumunda kalırlar. Çünkü Hama Ali yurdu olan Kuzey Irak'a döner. Irak Savaşı'nın ortaya çıkmasıyla Ayça'yla Ali'nin birbirlerine ulaşmaları imkansızlaşır. Ayça da aşkına ulaşabilmek için yollara düşer. Batı'dan Doğu'ya yolculuğun yaşandığı film için İstanbul, Diyarbakır, Mardin, Silopi, Van, İran'da bulunan Urmiye, Kuzey Irak'ta bulunan Erbil ve Süleymaniye'de çekimler gerçekleştirilmiştir.
