Four Christmases
Synopsis
Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn star in Seth Gordon's frothy romcom about a happily unmarried couple who reconsider their relationship after spending Christmas with their families. Brad and Kate usually avoid family Christmases by booking blow-out holidays. But when dense fog grounds their flight to Fiji, they have no choice but to see each of their divorced parents - whom they've never introduced one another to - on the same day. Brad's dad Howard mixes insults about Brad's masculinity with criticisms of his Christmas presents, his cage-fighting brothers embarrass him, while hippy mum shows off her latest toy boy. The pair fare no better when they meet Kate's born-again Christian mum, her brash older sister Courtney and her father. As the day progresses, Kate and Brad find out more about each other and start having doubts about their relationship - to the point where they start to fear they can no longer reconcile their differences..
