Finding John Smith

Two American war correspondents attempt to help a young Iraqi girl track down her missing G.I. father in the U.S. after her mother is killed during an RPG attack in a village near Baghdad. Jodi McKinnon (Jennifer Fontaine-Painting) and Jake Ramirez (David Mattey-Hancock) were investigating the mystery of Gulf War Syndrome when they traveled to a small Iraqi village to speak with some U.S. soldiers. Just as the interviews are getting underway, however, an RPG missile obliterates the home of Aaseamah Khalid (Dominique Joelle), instantly killing the young girl's mother.
