Escape From Firebase Kate
Synopsis
Recalling a harrowing late-night 1969 escape through the Vietnam jungle by 26 American and 100 Montegnard soldiers from Firebase Kate, an outpost near the Vietnam-Cambodia border, when it was surrounded by thousands of North Vietnamese troops. The men were led by 21-year-old Army captain William Albracht; and only one of the soldiers was lost.
