העלילה עוקבת אחר שלושה סיפורים, כביכול רחוקים האחד מהשני, המצטלבים לקו עלילתי אחיד: הסיפור הראשון מתנהל בדרום תל אביב, שם פרנקו (אורי גבריאל), שוטר לשעבר אשר מתחייב לעבוד עבור מאפיונר גדול, עובר תהליך גילוי עצמי באמצעות ז'אנה (אוולין קפלון), נערת ליווי אשר נמצאת תחת חסותו. במקביל, מתנהל קו עלילתי נוסף בשדות בערבה הדרומית, שם זלצר (אבי אוריה), חקלאי העובד בערבה, מנסה למצוא את ז'אנה בעקבות תמונה שמצא במקרה, וצריך לבטוח בחיפושיו באחד מפועליו התאילנדים. הסיפור השלישי מתנהל בשיכון בפרבר עירוני, שם אלוני (יואב הייט), פקח שמורות טבע אשר מנהל מרדף אחר פועלים זרים, נאלץ להתמודד עם אביו החולה (יוסי גרבר), ועושה זאת באמצעות אדי (ריימונד בגסטינן), מטפל פיליפיני. במהלך הסרט נחשף הצופה לצד אחר במדינה אותו לא מכיר מקרוב, ועוקב אחר חייהם של העובדים הזרים.
