Movie
Don't Come Knocking
Synopsis
Directed by Wim Wenders from a script by Sam Shepard, Don't Come Knocking stars Shepard as a depressed, alcoholic movie star who, as the film opens, rides off on a horse from the location where he has been filming. Leaving the set in full cowboy costume, he hops a bus to Nevada where he attempts to reconnect with his mother. Meanwhile, the film's producers have hired a detective to track down the missing actor. The actor learns from his mother that he may very well have a son or daughter after spending time in a town during a film shoot two decades before. He seeks out his old lover, attempts to connect with his son, and learns that he has more children than he could have expected. The detective catches up with the actor, but not before the actor has again altered everyone's life with his appearance. The film co-stars Jessica Lange, Tim Roth, Sarah Polley, and Eva Marie Saint.
