Synopsis
Georgie (Kelly Macdonald) is a headstrong woman who is now living on an island on the West Australian coast with Jim (David Wenham), a man she doesn't love, and his children, who don't see her as a replacement for their decesaed mother. One day, she meets the enigmatic loner Lu (Garrett Hedlund), and they quickly fall in love. They go on an escapade, but soon enough, Lu's past begins to haunt him, making him retreat and hide. Desperate to find him, Georgie finds help from an unexpected friend. This adaptation of Tim Winton's book is directed by Gregor Jordan.
