A passionate extramarital affair takes a grim turn in director Ram Gopal Varma's dark romantic thriller. Aditya Soman has fallen under the spell of his a wonton secretary Gita Menon. While Aditya views the trysts with his passionate employee as a little more than a series of lusty interludes, Gita has read much more into the encounters. Gita is a lonely, and she has convinced herself that Aditya will one day divorce his wife so that she and her lover can be together without shame. Of course, with a loyal wife and a beautiful lover on the side, Aditya isn't about to let go of a good thing and selfishly strings Gita along. Tragedy strikes, however, when Gita dies unexpectedly and Aditya remains haunted by more than just her memory. Subsequently wracked by guilt and terrified of the specter that hangs over him, Aditya finds his once-perfect world fast falling apart.
