Synopsis
Buddies meander sideways into a murder mystery. Originally released as 'Cutter and Bone.', Ivan Passer's landmark film subverts the notion of good guys seeking the truth - Cutter (John Heard), a Vietnam vet, witnesses a girl's body being stuffed in an oil drum. Big business is implicated but no-one believes him. Obsessed by his sense of honour and aided by his drunken wife (Lisa Eichborn) and fellow beach-bum buddy Jeff Bridges, he sets out to prove his story.
