Guillermo Del Toro's cult horror film stars Federico Luppi as antiques dealer Jesus Gris, who stumbles across the Cronos Device, the invention of a 14th-century alchemist. Beetle-like in look, its bite confers immortality on its victim and Gris succumbs to its powers. But also after the device is dying industrialist Dieter, who sends his thuggish nephew Angel de la Guardia on a mission to track it down.
