Courage Under Fire
Synopsis
Set during the Gulf War, this story begins with Lt. Col. Serling accidentally destroying one of his own tanks and being demoted. Meanwhile Capt. Walden dies during conflict. The Government wants to give a medal to Walden, and it is up to Serling to find out if she deserves it, Meg Ryan stars in this action thriller as Captain Karen Walden, one of the US military's bravest officials. Recently killed in action, Captain Walden has been nominated for a Medal of Honour in recognition for her services, but an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death has yet to be completed. Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel Serling (Denzel Washington) is charged with looking into Walden's behaviour in the line of duty and assessing whether she really did display courage under fire.
