Synopsis
Mike Figgis introduces his second favourite film of the evening, Le Mepris, which brings together two great French icons - director Jean Luc Godard and star of the Riviera, Brigitte Bardot. Bardot stars as a young woman who is overcome with a passionate contempt for her writer husband (Michel Piccoli) whose latest job involves doctoring a script of The Odyssey for a film director This director has a vision of capturing the true essence and reality of Homer's world while he must also deal with avaricious producer Jack Palance, in this tale of emotional ambiguity. In French with subtitles.
