Renato Zero รจ impegnato in uno show nel corso del quale presenta le sue canzoni di maggior successo. Ma, prima dell'esibizione, gli viene recapitato un minaccioso biglietto: "Ti ucciderรฒ alle prime luci della ribalta", firmato "Ciao Ni'!". Durante gli intervalli dello spettacolo, Renato cerca di scoprire il misterioso nemico che potrebbe nascondersi tra i suoi collaboratori. Sarร il manager Dollaro? O Mignolo, il muto, oppure Super-Io, il suo psicanalista personale o ancora Zucchero, la fedele vecchietta guardarobiera? Renato sospetta anche di Casablanca, un nano; e dello Scienziato Nero, un mr. Hyde bramoso di rubargli il segreto della perfetta fusione dei due sessi in una sola persona. Guidato dallo psicanalista, pensa anche ai genitori, che lo accusano di "narcisismo" brandendo il Crocifisso-coltello. Alla fine Renato scopre che Ciao Ni' รจ la propria "normalitร ", decisa a punirlo per essersi fatto un "polimorfo perverso".
