Synopsis
Wealthy Bucharest architect Cornelia (Luminita Gheorghiu) fights to keep her disaffected adult son Barbu (Bogdan Dumitrache) out of jail following a careless car accident that claims the life of a young child. Meanwhile, the harder Cornelia works to convince everyone involved that Barbu wasn't speeding, the more she begins to believe her own desperate, blatant deceptions. A nuanced study of unconditional love, director Salin Peter Netzer's third feature film was the recipient of the prestigious Golden Bear award at the 2013 Berlin Film Festival.
