Castle Freak

This taut and bloody chiller from director Stuart Gordon won a Fangorias Golden Chainsaw award. The horror begins when an American family pulls up stakes to move into the Italian castle they recently inherited. They are not there long before they realize that they share the dark palace with a murderous, blood-starved creature that lives in the dungeon. When the monster gets out and savagely slaughters a town hooker and a housekeeper, the husband becomes the prime suspect. Unless he and his family can learn the monster's secret, the father will go to prison and the family will be left alone with creature.
