Gustave, some 20 feet long and weighing at least a ton, has killed more than 200 people in Burundi's Rusizi Delta. This French documentary follows scientists as they attempt to take him alive. (Filming took place in 2002 and 2003.) Their plan: lure the 60-year-old Nile crocodile into a 30-foot cage using a live goat as bait, sedate him and transport him to a wildlife preserve. It won't be easy. Says narrator Gary Granville, "Their quest is as outsized as the animal they seek.", Over the past ten years, 300 people have disappeared from the Burundi shoreline of Lake Tanganyika. Is a giant crocodile named Gustave responsible? Locals attempt to hunt him down.

About This Guide
This series page summarizes the total episode count, average runtime, binge-time expectations, and supporting credits for Capturing the Killer Croc. The goal is to make the page useful both as a quick watch-time answer and as a fuller series overview.
Editorial Take
Capturing the Killer Croc is presented as an episode-level guide that still keeps the parent series context visible, which is important because isolated episode pages can otherwise feel detached and thin. The 1h runtime is especially useful here because episode search intent is often much more time-sensitive than general series search intent. Language context is also surfaced so users can judge accessibility and fit before clicking deeper into a title.
How OnlySynopsis Builds This Page
OnlySynopsis combines stored title metadata such as runtime, release information, genres, and cast or crew data into a reader-first guide. The goal is not just to list fields, but to help visitors understand whether a title fits their available time and viewing mood.
