Synopsis
Captured in Chinatown is extremely well-paced and quite atmospheric considering its skintight budget. The plot is set in motion by a centuries-old feud between two Chinese families. Leading man Charles Delaney pokes his nose where he shouldn't, and soon he's up to his celluloid collar in murder and intrigue. Both Delaney and co-star Marion Shilling (an ingenue of the silent era, here a bit long in tooth but no less perky) are forced to solve several mysteries in order to survive the night. Running a spare 50 minutes, Captured in Chinatown is one of those quickies that seemed to pop up on TV every fifteen minutes in the early 1950s.
