Synopsis
Fran Rubel Kuzui's horror-comedy, which led to the massively acclaimed and successful TV series, stars Kristy Swanson as Buffy Summers, a high school cheerleader whose ambitions are 'graduate, visit Europe, marry Christian Slater, die'. Unfortunately, before she can embark on fulfilling her noble dream, she meets Merrick Jamison-Smythe, who reveals that she is her generation's designated vampire killer, and that this might even mean occasionally slaying them on school nights. Also starring Luke Perry as Oliver Pike, whose neck she saves and who ends up as the love interest; Rutger Hauer and Paul Reubens as bloodsuckers Lothos and Amilyn; and early appearances from Hilary Swank, Stephen Root and David Arquette.
