Synopsis
This hallucinogenic film tells the story of Jeff, a young man who returns to his hometown only to be drawn into a dangerous drama which begins with a severed human ear and eventually leads to an attractive lounge singer called Dorothy whose son has been kidnapped by the sociopathic Booth, David Lynch's landmark film. When Kyle MacLachlan discovers a severed ear in a field, his curiousity leads him into the world of extreme violence and weird sex controlled by Dennis Hopper, a criminal totally out of control, and Isabella Rossellini, a damsel-in-distress in his thrall - or is she?, A sensual mystery thriller about strange happenings in a small North Carolina town. A college student stumbles across a bizarre mystery and wants to know more, perhaps too much more. The strange world he's found lurking beneath his hometown's picture-postcard veneer is about to become much stranger. It is also an unforgettably fascinating and forboding world.
