Bitter Moon

The extraordinary story of a passionate relationship (shown in flashback) is narrated to an uncomfortable stranger, who is drawn into the story's nightmarish denouement. The listener, a young Englishman, is travelling aboard a cruiser with his wife when he meets a disabled man and his beautiful companion, and though he finds the story shocking, he cannot tear himself away until he hears how it ends.
