Becoming Burlesque
Synopsis
Fatima (Shiva Negar) navigates the world according to her father's Islamic faith. In a chance encounter, she meets Texas Red Tempest (Courtney Deelen), a performer at the local burlesque club. After seeing one of her shows, she immediately falls in love with the artform and soon enough, her new identity is born: Babylon. As much as she enjoys the freedom she feels while onstage, Fatima finds herself in need of reconciling her two worlds when her secret identity is revealed to her family. Directed by Jackie English.
