Synopsis
Directed by David (Naked Gun, Airplane) Zucker, this satire on the stranglehold money has on sport in America sees Matt Stone and Trey Parker of South Park fame goofing around in their yard with a crossbreed sport called BASEketball, incorporating baseball, volleyball and basketball. Passing sports millionaire Ernest Borgnine spots them and the next stop is a major city league, megabucks and chicks galore - until the two realise the sport they love is being corrupted and must fight to save it, This slapstick sports comedy stars South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Competing two-on-two against some basketball jocks, goofballs Joe Cooper and Doug Remer attempt to win by devising new rules while they play. Thus is born the bizarre game of "BASEketball.", Comedy starring Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of South Park, as a couple of no-hopers who invent a new game. The sport, a cross between basketball and baseball, is called 'BASEketball' and they are shocked when it becomes a national sensation!.
