Synopsis
Actor-director Lowell Sherman is at his most suave and sophisticated in Bachelor Apartment. An inveterate seducer, Wayne Carter (Sherman) has to virtually maintain a revolving door to keep the girls coming to and going from his deluxe penthouse. Eventually, however, Carter meets the one woman with whom he'd probably like to settle down for life: Helene Andrews (Irene Dunne), the sensible, marriage-minded sister of Sherman's current amour Lita (Claudia Dell). Once Carter is hooked by Helene (as we all knew he would be), he must figure out how to wrest himself from the clutches of predatory vamp Agatha Carraway (Mae Murray). Though unavoidably dated, Bachelor Apartment still provides 74 minutes' worth of light entertainment for Late Late Show aficionados.
