Synopsis
The animated adaptation of the graphic novel/memoir Approved for Adoption tells the story of a South Korean boy who is adopted by a Belgian family in the 1970s, a period in which many Belgians adopted Asian child. Because of this trend, the boy has many people from his home country that he grows up with, but he still has a certain amount of trouble adjusting to his new home and school, In this visually arresting animated adaptation of a graphic-novel memoir, a South Korean boy is adopted by a Belgian family. While there are many other Korean adoptees in his neighborhood, he still has trouble adjusting to his new school and family.
