Synopsis
The personal and professional struggles that the Egyptian national soccer team endures while attempting to qualify for the 2014 World Cup are chronicled. Coach Bob Bradley, who previously led the U.S. national soccer team, lands in Cairo in late 2011 to take charge of the Egyptian squad; and finds a country in turmoil due to a popular uprising and military takeover. Despite the off-the-field distractions, however, the team comes together: the Pharaohs, as they're called, win a string of matches.
