Not necessarily Steven Spielberg's greatest hit but still more interesting and endearing than what most directors could create. Richard Dreyfuss stars as a hotshot fire fighting pilot, scooping and dumping water on remote forest fires. Until one day, he goes too far and is killed in a crash, only to find himself sent back as the ethereal teaching voice for his tenderfoot pal. But keeping an eye on him is one thing, letting him get close to Dreyfuss's ex-girlfriend is quite another…, Spielberg's fantasy romance in which the spirit of an ace fire-fighting pilot returns to Earth to watch over the woman he loved and help a trainee pilot follow in his footsteps. But when he returns to his old airfield - invisible to earthly beings - he discovers that the rookie is not only looking to emulate his career, but also has his eye on his grieving girlfriend. A remake of 1943's 'A Guy Named Joe', and Audrey Hepburn's last film role.
