Synopsis
Shalini is the daughter of Ram Shashtri, a Hindu Brahmin. When the family falls on tough times, Shalini ventures out to get a job. She fulfills her brother's desire to become a doctor and her younger sister's ambition to be a singer. But due to circumstances, she loses all respect from her family who remain ungrateful to her.
